1732 年，法国医生范德蒙德（Jacques Frangçois Vandermonde，生卒年不详）在澳门得到《本草纲目》。他对照书中所载药物，采集了80 种矿物标本，编为《本草纲目中水火土金石诸部药物》，属于《本草纲目》金石部摘译本，但其译文在1896 年才通过德梅里的著作得以发表。
